File formats

Geotag can read and write location data for several file formats.

• Jpeg files
• Tiff files
• Canon .thm (use instead of Canon .crw)
• Canon .cr2
• Digital Negative .dng
• Epson .erf
• Kodak .dcr
• Mamiya .mef
• Minolta .mrw
• Nikon .nef
• Olympus .orf
• Panasonic .raw
• Pentax .pef

There are several file formats that can't hold location data. Geotag can store the location data in XMP files instead. Those file formats are:

• Fuji .raf
• Kodak .dcr
• Sony .arw
• Sony .sr2
• Sony .srf
